Creative visuals, complementary typography and quality
print production all craft the theme of an effective annual report.
SDA understands the unique role that annual reports
play in conveying a corporation's strength, stability and business identity
to the investment community.
We handle all aspects of annual report creation: art
direction, design, copywriting, print production and website posting.

Metallic inks and a detailed illustration present Geneva's
production process with dramatic flare in the opening foldout of this annual
report. One of the largest steel producers west of the Mississippi, Geneva
wanted their annual to represent their industry leading stature.
Unique typography and chart design, give the report a contemporary feel while
delivering the important financial information.
Bold blocks of color dominate the design of this annual
report for Titan Pharmaceuticals. Development photographs have been teamed with
molecular structure illustrations created by SDA. Key product photographs of
compounds under development were orchestrated to highlight specific drugs and
diminish the exposure of others.
The report was so well received by our client that they asked us to redesign
their web site to conform with the look and feel of their annual report.
Photography and illustration were focal points in the
design of this annual report. To create value with stockholders and potential
stockholders, SDA highlighted Titan's proprietary technologies. The 3D illustration
of a microsphere, producing dopamine, visually depicts the benefit of their
drug Spheramine.
Once again the report was so well received that our client asked us to redesign
their web site to conform to the look and feel of the annual report.
The people of Titan were the focus for this report. Photography
was coordinated and managed throughout the U.S. and Canada to highlight specific
individuals associated with Titan's various research programs.
We continued the tradition of applying the look and feel to their web site to
build continuity and assure consistency in delivery of information.
Innerdyne is a technology leader in the development of
access devices used to perform minimally invasive surgery.
The 10K wrap designed by SDA, effectively communicates the advantage of Innerdyne's
step device. Through the use of die cut holes, the cover displays the comparative
size and area of access while the interior foldout displays the difference between
the conventional trocar access method in relation to Innerdynes device.
The advantages are immediately visually apparent.
Glenborough wanted to communicate the diversity of their
holdings. In SDAs solution, marbles are used as a metaphor to represent
this diversity. The variety of colors and sizes also led to the creation of
the unique spherical charts and graphs.
The theme was successful in drawing the reader into the report, maintaining
interest and communicating the overall message. This theme was continued throughout
the marketing materials and quarterly reports during the year.
In 1999, Glenboroughs focus had shifted from the
diversity to the quality of holdings.
To communicate this new strategic positioning, large full color imagery was
used. Dramatic photos of prominent buildings from each region in the country
convey the strength of the Glenborough holdings.

The subtle typographic inspired design of the front
cover yields to the more regimented template for the editorial section inside.
Three dimensional charts and graphs illustrate important
information as an expanded narrative provides property data. The template
was forwarded to our print partners, and the financials were formatted on
the fly as they came in. Once married with the editorial, it created a cohesive
document.

Having previously only produced a 10k, Bedford Property
Investors wanted to take full advantage of the potential of the annual report
as a marketing vehicle.
The bold cover treatment and use of a foil stamped
logo achieved a distinguished look. Use of dramatic building photographs as
well as location maps add value for investors.

The marble theme from the previous year had been such
a successful metaphor that Glenborough decided to continue their use but in
a more subtle way. Marble imagery combined with typography throughout the
annual, highlight staff professionalism and the diversity in their holdings.
Additional photography was designed to convey motion suggesting the aggressive
strides Glenborough was making in the marketplace.
